John Deere Cash Management S.A., established since 2004, is a unit part of the Regional Treasury Center located in Luxembourg.
The primary activity of the Regional Treasury Center (RTC) is to ensure efficient funding, lending and payment services for Deere Units, primarily on an EAME landscape.
John Deere Cash Management is looking for a Treasury Accountant.
What You’ll Do
Coordinate & solve clients’ request on a daily basis (payment / bank related questions or issues)
Perform complex bank reconciliations (cash pooling) and manages the short term European cash forecast in coordination with other departments / units of John Deere
Perform analysis to determine hedging (currency), funding (commercial paper, Medium Term Note, Intercompany loan), investing and executes transactions
Prepare accounting entries & produces company trial balances (Balance Sheet / Income Statements) on a monthly basis (USGAAP and IFRS)
Prepare, analyse and enhance various management and financial / accounting reports
Prepare specific reports for local reporting to comply with statutory requirements (such as VAT)
Work on Treasury Team projects (enhancements and activity growth)
Provide analytical support for various internal and external projects
What It Takes
Solid understanding of accounting principles (US GAAP, IFRS) as well as Treasury technical aspects (Market to Market, CP’s, SWAP bookings)
High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work with a minimum level of supervision
Capacity to solve problems, identify options and propose a reasoned solution
IT skills : MS Office pack (macro is a plus), SAP, REVAL, SUNGARD.
Strong team player
Strong analytical skills. When analysing, understand the WHY
Capacity for combining regular recurrent tasks and projects related contributions
Ability to manage daily tasks within a very changing environment. Focus on meeting very short deadlines
Good communication skills both writing and speaking
Fluent English is compulsory (both spoken and written). Additional language is a plus
