Senior Business Project Manager - Permanent contract (M / F)

Tasks / missions

Business Project Manager responsibilities :

  • Drive identification of functional and IT requirements across business units
  • Define tasks and resources requirements
  • Manage the project resource plan, planning and budget
  • Manage project issues, risks and actions
  • Meet with project team members to identify and resolve both functional and IT issues
  • Contribute to and track project deliverables and ensure compliance with quality standards
  • Monitor and report on progress of the project to all stakeholders
  • Assist decisions and change requests to ensure that all parties are informed of the impacts on schedule and budget
  • Ensure and facilitate change management by developing culture of change, user manuals, training materials and other documents and actions as needed to enable successful implementation and turnover of the process or system / solution to the clients
  • Identify and develop new opportunities
  • Coordinate with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Conduct post-project evaluation and identify key successful and unsuccessful project factors
  • Profile

  • Master in economics, finance or IT
  • At least 5 years’ experience in project management (including IT aspects) in financial information industry
  • In-depth knowledge of project management
  • A deep understanding of financial instruments and capital markets
  • Ability to analyse business and technical information in order to solve issues and translate business needs into IT and technical specifications
  • A deep understanding of financial instruments and capital markets
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and French with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Sound client service skills with a proactive approach, ability to take ownership of issues as they arise
  • Talent to summarize and present work succinctly and accurately
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment
  • Team player with the ability to work independently
  • Strong MS office skills are essential
  • Any project or program management certification and IT technical skills will be considered as an asset
