At Amazon, our HR Regional Partners are known for their knowledge of HR programs, processes and tools. They act as the frontline consultant to people managers and employees to create a positive employee experience, offering consistent HR advice on people matters.

They operate and are seen as subject matter experts offering a strong and compelling point of view around HR related matters, thus building credibility.

They are committed to collaboration with multiple HR Business Partners, HR specialists and people managers across the various businesses in the region.

A key area of focus for the HRP team is to drive manager education on important people programs, policies, tools and processes and help them becoming more self-

sufficient. Whilst doing this, the HRPs are continuously raising the bar on harmonizing practice across a geography and sharing best practices.

The Regional Partner Manager oversees this activity for the designated region in EMEA and constantly evaluates client feedback and needs by taking corrective actions as needed.

The Manager also analyzes the need for client related HR project support and other proactive services beyond reactive requests.

The role is responsible to hire, manage and develop individual long-term careers.

Key Responsibilities

The HRP Manger will manage a Region within EMEA and will have a strong focus on both operational delivery and effective team management, ensuring outstanding levels of service and support to people managers and employees.

This role will run a team of up to 24 employees with a blend of HRP Team leads and HRPs reporting to them. The role will report to the EMEA HRP Senior Manager.

Successful candidates will have experience in working and leading HR operational and HR Generalists teams, in addition to knowledge of HR processes and systems.

  • Manage escalations and complex cases in the Region that require high judgement and expertise
  • Act as stewards of the employee experience and Amazon culture keepers
  • Hire and onboard HRPs and HR Partner Team Leads, making sure they receive optimal training and development to provide excellent HR support to customers
  • Partner with HR Directors in the Region, HR Center of Expertise and HR Services to guarantee the best HR solutions for our customers
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders in the Region (Country Leaders, Directors) acting as a trusted partner for HR partner services delivered.
  • Foster engagement and support team members’ career development, identifying training and coaching opportunities
  • Constantly review the workload of the HRPs in the Region to guarantee the best use of available resources and expertise on case management
  • Audit quality of the service for the Region and at Country Level to make sure the team meets SLAs and customers’ expectations
  • Identifies larger risks on complex or sensitive investigations, partners with General Counsel as needed
  • Drive consistency and simplification on change initiatives, talent management process, developing toolkits and communications that help managers to be self-sufficient
  • Coordinate Program Management on implementation of people tools, processes, programs
  • Coordinate projects that are critical for the Region, such as introduction of new policies or benefits
  • Partner with the other Regional Partner Team Leads and with the EMEA Sr. Manager to improve the service offer and its delivery, thanks to data analysis and observations of trends across the organization
  • Partner with the other Regional Partner Team Leads and with the EMEA Sr. Manager to identify development opportunities for HRPs inside and outside the Region
  • Profile / Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher, in Human Resources or related field
  • 5-7 years of relevant Human Resources experience
  • Employment law knowledge of some of the countries in the Region
  • Strong business and HR acumen, including strong problem solving skills, critical thinking and analysis.
  • Strong communication skills; excellent spoken and written English, any additional languages a plus
  • Strong expertise on process simplification and continuous improvement
  • People management experience including remote team management
  • Expert level experience with Word and Excel, including but not limited to charts, pivots and filters
  • Experience in working in a highly matrixed organization
  • Experience in leading a customer service or shared services team would be an advantage.
  • Thrives in a high-pressure environment, able to manage stakeholders and properly handle escalations
  • Able to build trust with managers thanks to strong expertise and judgement
  • Possesses intellectual curiosity; brings insight into the team & business
  • Profile / Experience
