Amazon’s global specialty fulfillment (GSF) is looking for a program manager with strong project management, financial, and cross-functional skills to support our capital planning & approvals program.

Successful candidates will be natural self-starters and will be comfortable leading large & complex projects. Your superior communication skills, including the proven ability to effectively manage, influence and negotiate with external / internal business partners will be utilized in order to meet organizational capacity demands while realizing cost savings.

Core responsibilities :

  • Manage the CAR program across all GSF businesses for EMEA and APAC regions
  • Participate in weekly reviews with senior GSF leaders and successfully present the case for capital investment that fuels GSF’s expansion strategy
  • Lead the development of capital investment models for expansion and new network nodes
  • Own capital analysis and spend oversight
  • Partner with procurement and construction managers to identify and define low-cost strategies, preferred vendors, and regional construction strategy
  • Partner with GSF capital and support OP budget forecasting
  • Automate CARs and routing methodology
  • Establish project pipeline and coordinate with PMO
  • Develop assumptions, estimates, schedules, cash flow forecasts, and executable plans for capital deployment
  • What we are looking for :

    The ideal candidate is a demonstrated manager who is ready to roll up their sleeves and execute projects by working with cross-functional teams across the country.

    They have a bias for action and can quickly analyze the long term financial / operational / supply chain viability of large investments / FCs, communicate the impact of these investments, and execute methodically after receiving approval.

    This opportunity requires excellent operational planning, problem-solving, and communication skills. They exhibit high attention to detail including proven ability to manage multiple, competing projects and priorities simultaneously.

    They possess strong analytical and quantitative skills, ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions, and develop business cases by clearly communicating data insights with stakeholders

  • Well acquainted with supply chain cost structures and experience delivering improvements : fixed, variable, and transportation
  • Familiarity with delivering fast-paced projects with tight deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in large scale construction initiatives
  • Well developed in process improvement, PMP principles, and leading multi-million-dollar capital investment strategy
