Company : China Merchants Bank Co., Ltd., Luxembourg Branch Department : Finance & Accounting Department Report to : Head of Finance & Accounting Department Responsible : · Preparing periodic reports to local regulatory authorities (CSSF / BCL), daily, monthly, quarterly, semi-annually, annually.
Preparing tax reports ensuring regulatory and internal deadlines are met.
Book keeping for internal account, such as booking invoices, budget reconciliation.
Handling month end closing activities such as book fixed assets amortization, provision, etc.
Assisting in year-end audit and preparing audit support schedules and working papers.
Performing research on technical accounting issues and prepare accounting memos addressing non-routine transactions.
Assisting in drafting and updating the accounting procedures.
Assisting in preparing the periodic business analysis, budget and performance evaluation of the Bank.
Supporting new products implementation.
Assisting in new system developments and implementations.
Liaising with IT department in data base building and reporting automation.
Participate in background operation and daily financial matters.
In addition to these duties the Employee may from time to time be required to undertake additional or other duties within his / her capacity as necessary to meet the needs of the company’s business.
Profiles : · Fluent in English, Capability of French (spoken and written) will be a strong asset.
Bachelor’s degree (B.
A.) from four-year College or university, major in Economics / Finance / accounting.
Proficient with Microsoft Office.
Knowledge in T24 Temenos and FRS (One-SumX), SAGE will be an additional asset.
Experience : About 1-2 years’ work experience related with finance and accounting or in a financial sector.
Wide knowledge or good understanding of finance and accounting.
Experience on statutory reporting to BCL / CSSF · VAT and tax related matter · Ability to meet tight deadlines and cut-off times.
Ability to work well under pressure with a high level of self-motivation.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in coordination and under supervision.
Adeptness at analyzing facts, problem solving, decision-making, and demonstrating good judgment.
