The Sort Centre Learning and Development Team are currently seeking a EU SC Business Analyst (m / f) to design, develop and maintain internal tools and reporting supporting Sort Centre Learning and Talent Development programmes in Europe.

This person will ensure delivery of customer friendly tools and reporting solutions and will place a high value on understanding our end users’ learning and development needs.

They will help the Learning team extract meaning from large volumes of data to make the right business decisions. They will set the right vision, strategy and roadmap and work alongside with stakeholders in the organisation to make it happen.

The successful candidate knows and loves working with business intelligence tools, can model multidimensional datasets and can partner with business leaders to answer key business decision.

This role will be based either in one of our Sort Centre sites in the EU, or in Luxembourg and will require approximately 25% travel within the region and Europe.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Own the design, development, and maintenance of ongoing metrics, reports, analyses, dashboards, etc. to drive key business decisions.
  • Make recommendations for new metrics, techniques, and strategies to improve understanding of training effectiveness and impact across the organisation.
  • Work closely with non-technical customers and stakeholders to define and scope requirements
  • Define the data elements and data structure that our team should leverage to enable analytical capabilities for our programmes
  • Work with technical and the data warehouse teams to enable the appropriate capture and storage of key data points.
  • Design, implement, and support platforms that provide operations teams ad-hoc access to datasets
  • Enable effective decision making by retrieving and aggregating data from multiple sources and compiling it into a digestible and actionable format
  • Participate in strategic & tactical planning discussions.
  • Ensure KPIs are published and reviewed on a daily, weekly, monthly basis and perform analysis on any behaviours / processes that could impact on data integrity
  • Basic qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 2+ years of experience developing tools / applications / web-based user interfaces
  • Experience using SQL / MySQL
  • Demonstrated ability to design and develop creative, scalable solutions with passion for user experience
  • Proven ability to work under pressure, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines
  • Strong listening, written, verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Familiarity with basic data structures and RDBMS fundamentals
  • Familiarity with Data Warehousing and ETL

  • Translating complex data and reporting into a meaningful way for the business to understand
  • Design reports based on data gathering from technical stakeholders
