These businesses are backed up by strong Support functions and by our Operational departments.For our IT Service Delivery Team, we are currently looking an : Application Support Team Leader (M / F) Description : Responsible for the assignment and coordination of people and materials necessary for the prompt and complete service on application support and projects related activities within IT Service Delivery Principal duties and responsibilities :

  • Ensure that the business application systems supported are maintained to the highest possible standard with maximum levels of attainable productivity and efficiency.
  • Manage application configuration and upgrades, problem analysis and resolution for complex application problems in conjunction with the users and external application or service suppliers when necessary.
  • Define, develop and provide an incident or problem analysis and resolution service for major incident or problems in conjunction with the users and application suppliers.
  • Manage application projects ( package oriented ) and assist development team to run their application projects, providing technical and operability input when required.
  • Improve application performance and provide suggestions for operability improvements.
  • Develop procedures and documentation for application support
  • Develop and maintain interfaces, exports and imports, and ensure their smooth running where required.
  • Deploy new functionalities, evolutions or bug fix
  • Be the contact person for providers, project leaders and development teams
  • Maintain the adequate level of service documentation
  • Validate the operability aspects in terms of solution and technical architecture within inflow management
  • Knowledge and Qualifications :

  • Equivalent to the completion of at least 4 years of college coursework in computer science, management information systems or a closely related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Strong hands-on knowledge of enterprise server and desktop operating systems, applications and scripting such as Linux, AIX, Microsoft Windows Oracle, SQL Websphere Application Server Kornshell, VBscript, SQL
  • Knowledge on a Scheduler tool such as Tivoli Workload Scheduler is considered as an advantage
  • Experience :

  • Extensive experience in a management role within a professional ICT environment planning, installing, maintaining, and supporting business applications
  • Extensive experience in all aspects of providing ICT applications support to users in a customer focused environment
  • Extensive experience of implementing and upgrading major business applications
  • Extensive experience of analyzing user needs and requirements, mapping process and documenting the results
  • Experience of supporting business application systems and an understanding of their architecture
