    The position is responsible for the efficient support and development of the financial, controlling, reporting, billing, procurement, logistics and human resources systems of SES and its 100% owned affiliates.

    The mission includes the management of the internal and external resources required for the ongoing support and development of the related back office systems.

    The incumbent will efficiently manage the evolutive and corrective requests on the active ERP of the company in a lean and directive way while playing a key role in the SAP implementation and roll-outs.


  • Participate in and jointly coordinate the development of the Business Applications strategy
  • Manage and lead the continuous development work by ensuring a methodical and efficient coordination between Business stakeholders, internal Business Applications team and external consultants
  • Prepare and own the needed reporting / KPIs to ensure the work efficiency on corrective and evolutive changes on area domain for the multiple business domains
  • Direct and manage the ERP sections and its activities including the related budgetary and financial matters
  • Liaise with the database administration, the application administration and the security administration related to the ERP applications
  • Establish close cooperation and interface with the ÌT Service Delivery team
  • Establish quality of service measurement for the development function as a tool towards continuous improvement and participate in the quality of service elaboration and measurement for the finance department
  • Maintain a rigorous cross application management regime ensuring that all applications are documented, run on supported software, are secure in compliance with established IT policy and practice
  • Manage the third party relationships (consultants, application vendors, peers, and hosting providers)
  • Establish and maintain contact with all users of ERP systems within the Company and especially with the team defining with the application specifications
  • Manage applications group personnel, developing their skills and capabilities to meet the needs of the organisation, as well as building on existing recruiting capabilities to address new needs and skills gaps
  • Perform all other tasks in the area of expertise as required

  • Master’s Degree / College Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent, coupled with professional vocational training and qualifications
  • Minimum of ten years’ relevant experience, whereof eight years or more in a similar position
  • Minimum ten years of professional experience working with ERP software (preferably SAP) and in implementing several large international SAP roll-outs
  • At least a seven-year hands on experience in the analysis, design, development, deployment and maintenance of software applications related to finance systems
  • Experience in deploying industry process standards such as ITIL and Cobit
  • Strong understanding of business processes and IT
  • Demonstrated managerial skills, able to lead a team and cooperate with other IT as well as business functions
  • Strong methodological knowledge (Agile preferable) and proactivity to deploy lean / agile methodologies
  • Strong focus on on-time / on-budget delivery
  • Self-motivated and able to deal well with ambiguity and rapidly changing priorities
  • Strong knowledge of key business and financial concepts and the related systems applications and packages
  • Demonstrates a customer-focused business led approach to application and system development
  • Works autonomy and with team spirit (Point on Leadership presence, interface with product owners, project management)
  • Strong analytical skills, proven problem solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills : good listener, ability to understand perspective of others, to work effectively at all levels of the organisation, to mediate in conflicts and resolve issues, to secure stake-
  • holder buy-in to the proposed solution, to interpret complex technical issues and communicate the business value of IT

  • Understanding of financial aspects for budgetary and planning purposes
  • Ability to liaise with management and take decisions appropriate to this level
  • Ability to interpret complex technical issues and communicate the business value of IT standards and structured approach
  • Broad business acumen
  • High level of integrity and work ethic
  • Knowledge of the specificities of the satellite industry
  • Fluency in English, any other language is considered as an asset
