We are currently looking for a Junior Category Manager (m / f) of designated food sub-categories for all LSG segments and businesses across Region Europe.

The Category Manager is responsible for procurement activities for the respective Food categories in alignment with the respective Category Team and in close collaboration with all relevant stakeholder groups & business functions including providing key input into the ongoing category strategies.

Your tasks : Category Management :

Category Management :

  • Delivery of category strategies for all allocated commodities in close alignment with relevant stakeholder groups
  • Identify appropriate levers together with responsible category manager to extract TCO cost reduction and innovation potential from supply chain
  • Delivery of Strategic and Tactical Sourcing initiatives including related implementation activities
  • Secure the availability of goods and services in compliance with Customer’s requirements in a timely manner and at minimum total cost and risk
  • Establish standard portfolio and provide continuous development and innovation of the respective product groups in close collaboration with the respective segment and business stakeholders
  • Cross-functional collaboration :

  • Support the Category and PSD teams in development of ongoing and future product portfolio
  • Participate in and manage procurement involvement in Customer Tenders and new concept designs
  • Collaborate with Product Development, Program Management to deliver the sampling and specifications processes
  • Ensure outcomes achieved in individual product sourcing initiatives are fully implemented operationally by close collaboration with the Operational Procurement function
  • Execution of Supplier Relationship Management for all selected Suppliers in the respective category in close collaboration with the respective Stakeholder groups
  • Manage interface to CSCs / Material Management for daily operations and claims handling
  • Your profile

  • Secondary education in business, IT, or engineering
  • Previous experience in relevant areas and international markets
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Good understanding of assigned portfolio product and supply markets and major market levers
  • Strong team player with experience with middle management, handling all stakeholder groups and creating networks even in difficult environments
  • Good experience in managing and delivering projects on time in international and cross-entity settings
  • Very good presentation, listening and communication skills
  • Full working knowledge of spreadsheets functions and customized reporting
  • Good knowledge of presentation software
  • Fluent in English (oral and written)
