As an European and Asian Accounting and Regulatory Reporting supervisor you will ensure compliance with financial, regulatory and tax reporting requirements for the BBH European and Asian entities (Luxembourg, London, Dublin, Zurich, Poland, Hong Kong and China) and will also assist with accounting and system implementation processes.

You will also responsible for the maintenance of policies and procedures, adequate local controls over the financial assets and processes, and the documentation requirements.

In addition, you will provide external and internal audit support and be involved in the month-end closing processes.

Key Responsibilities :

1.General Accounting & Regulatory Reporting

  • Maintenance of accounting records and financial information
  • Ensure that the reporting requirements and guidelines of applicable regulatory agencies are followed and prepare required financial reports
  • Preparation of statements and routine reports
  • Assist in month-end closing preparation and review
  • Preparation and review of TAX and VAT filings
  • Assist with the implementation of new regulatory reporting requirements
  • Follow up on new financial and regulatory related requirements
  • 2. Financial Reporting and Risk Control

  • Ensure accuracy of (offshore) team's financial analysis and accounting records but also provide financial analysis
  • Generation and review of internal and external financial reports such as quarterly reviews and annual reports
  • Maintain adequate controls over the financial assets and accounting processes
  • Provide ad hoc reports to Accounting Director and Finance Manager
  • 3. Accounting Policy

  • Assist with implementation of new accounting policies, regulations and systems
  • Maintain accounting policies and procedures
  • 4. Correspondence

  • Interaction with other Finance departments within BBH, external and internal auditors, system provider and regulatory authorities for filing related matters
  • 5. Training / Leadership

  • Train, develop and provide assistance to the (offshore) Accounting Teams and other team member
  • Qualifications :

    1. Education level and / or relevant experience

  • BA / BS degree and / or equivalent work experience.
  • 5-7 years of experience
  • 2. Knowledge and skills

  • Regulatory finance expertise
  • Functional accounting and project management expertise
  • VAT and TAX knowledge
  • Computer and interpersonal skills
  • Written and oral communication skills in English
