www.syniverse.com Job Description The individual will be responsible for supporting all Syniverse customer relationships in the European region, working as required on a diverse range of legal and regulatory issues for the Syniverse business.
In addition, the individual will be expected to work collaboratively with other members of the Syniverse International Legal team covering our operations in EMEA, India and Asia Pacific, and US (Florida) based colleagues where necessary.
The position reports to the VP Legal International Operations and is based in our office in Contern, Luxembourg, Syniverse’s main International office.
Key responsibilities and accountability Expected activities include : · This is a senior position responsible for supporting all Syniverse businesses operating in the European region and requires an individual who is confident and capable of handling complex legal and regulatory issues on an autonomous basis.

Skills & qualifications : · Qualified lawyer from a European jurisdiction with fluent business German language skills as well as good business English · 4 -
7 years of commercial transactional law practice with in-house experience · Able to manage and prioritize a demanding workload on an autonomous basis working with clients in Product, Sales and other functions · Experienced contract negotiator, able to read, interpret, draft, modify and negotiate legal agreements, analyze legal situations, and supervise outside counsel · A good understanding and experience in European data privacy laws · Experience of working in the telecommunications and technology sectors, including regulatory experience in these sectors a plus · Capable of handling commercial disputes and litigation (with outside counsel support) to their conclusion · Ability to deal professionally at all levels of the organization, dealing with complex matters and producing a high standard of work · Experience with strategic partnerships and joint IP agreements · Decisive, well organized, efficient and detail oriented · Business savvy, commercial approach to legal issues, able to balance legal and commercial interests of the business · Able to work well independently as well as part of a team, in an international environment · Excellent communication, organizational and analytical skills · Adaptable, collaborative, initiative taker · IT literate and skilled in Microsoft software applications Languages : Business level German and English required , other languages a bonus
