Context

In the framework of a European funded project under the umbrella of the m-era-net program, LIST is coordinating a collaborative project with a Latvian institute and SME company.

The project 3DPrintInn aims developing wood-mimic composites from renewable feedstock using innovative 3D printing technology.

Description

We are looking for a young researcher that is expected to strongly contribute to this ambitious project through the development of innovative chemical pathways to adapt selected renewable feedstock to 3D printing technology.

The project includes also the development of prototype in collaboration with the SME. The overall objective of the project is to produce wood-

mimic composites for predefined applications.

Education

  • PhD in Chemistry or Materials Science
  • Competencies

  • Previous postdoctoral experience will be an asset
  • Strong background in the strategies of organic chemistry synthesis is mandatory
  • Demonstrated competencies in structural characterization using state-of-the art techniques is highly valued
  • Collaborative skills, initiative, result oriented, organization, and capacity to work in an interdisciplinary environment
  • Language

  • Proficient written and spoken English is mandatory
