Your key objectives :
Be the day-to-day operational contact for AIF Depositary’s clients and the fund service provider (AIFM, TA, Administration, )
Performs the tasks related to the AIF Depositary in compliance with the existing laws and regulations (AIFMD, SIF, SICARs, RAIFs, and more generally investment and fund structures).
Takes part to the evolution of BIL’s AIF Depositary procedures and business development.
Your missions :
Performs the function of Depositary Bank following AIFMD rules, keeps and updates the files of AIFs under his / her operational responsibility in compliance with legal and contractual duties and in full respect of internal procedures.
Gather information of the AIF’s investments
Gather documents before and after transactions
Instructs the AIF Operations team of the records and settlements (Financial investments (BLS), or non-financials (External assets tool) while ensuring a perfect understanding of the transactions .
Performs Cash-flow monitoring as defined by AIFMD.
Performs oversight duties as required by AIFMD
Performs the whole operational interactions with involved professional third-parties (AIFM, TA, FA, ) and concerned BIL teams businesswise.
Feeds business developers with technical elements to be taken into consideration for proposing BIL’s services.
Takes an active part to the evolution of procedures and transversal projects in relation with AIF business.
Contributing to the depositary regulatory watch and ensuring that the Bank’s depositary activity remains compliant with laws, regulation and best practices.
Insure a integration and correct use of BIL’s Tools (BLSNet, Multiline, ) in correlation with AIF depositary activities.
Your profile :
Expertise in fund industry
University degree (finance, business administration, audit, legal)
Bac +3 / 5 or equivalent professional experience
Fluent in English and French, German or any other language is considered an advantage.
Extensive knowledge of :
Banks’ organisations andactivities, workflows, operational risk management processes / tools andchallenges,
Financial products andservices such as cash / treasury management, securities (transactions,safekeeping, ), financing and capital markets solutions.
BLS, BLS Net, MS Office
Excellent knowledge of :
the AIFMD regulation and the legal and regulatory framework
the ins and outs of alternative asset classes such as Private Equity, Private Debt, Real Estate and Infrastructure
operational risk assessment and monitoring, enhancement of processes and procedures,
the drivers of the European fund industry.
Team player with entrepreneurial skills and a highly supportive attitude.
Strong presentation, interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
Strong analytical skills as well as conceptual and strategic thinking.
At least 5 years in the banking / financial industry.
Qualifications such as an experience in the AIF Depositary function and certifications in audit / control / risk management are considered advantages.
