We are looking for a Program Manager to join the Product Compliance team based in our headquarters in Seattle, WA supporting the Restricted Products Program which ensures the safety and compliance of the Amazon websites.

The program management position will coordinate large scale compliance initiatives that cut across categories and require input from multiple business, tech teams, and category attorneys.

  • The program management heads are crucial to international RP Program expansion; aligning tech functionality among the core stakeholders;
  • improving program processes; and project management of open US / CA regulatory compliance projects.

    You will also help design the program roadmap for future global rollout and program charter, and serve as a primary program escalation and contact point.

    In addition, you will gather requirements from appropriate business owners, write clear and detailed functional specifications, prioritizes features, and drive technical scoping as needed.

    Being able to work independently and with primary stakeholders to solve complex medium and large scale projects is a core requirement of a strong program manager.

    This role requires strong attention to detail, solid work ethic and drive, the ability to manage large and complex rule sets, the ability to recommend solutions to various problems and excellent communication skills and follow up.

  • Bachelor Degree or equivalent
  • A sound understanding of web technologies and database structures.
  • Demonstrated collaborative skills and ability to work well within a team, including adherence to core values and dynamic corporate culture;
  • Experience working with co-workers in multiple countries.
  • Ability to understand, troubleshoot and describe complex technical processes and issues to non-technical colleagues.
  • Ability to work under time pressure.
  • Excellent writing skills - ability to propose complex solutions and explanations in writing.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, ability to work independently and autonomously;
  • Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting;
  • Demonstrated skill and passion for problem solving and operational excellence.
  • Comfortable working with and presenting to business leadership on escalations and problem solving.
  • Masters Degree in business, finance, engineering or similar graduate degree such as a law degree.
  • Experience working in compliance or heavily regulated product industry.
