The team :
Product Development & Pricing is a department of Product Management within the Products & Solutions area in Wealth Management. It’s role is to :
Strengthen and sharpen the product offering of BIL in line with the strategy of the bank and therefore to contribute to the differentiation of BIL
Drive the product development process
Facilitate co-ordination between different distribution channels (Front-Office business lines), transversal support functions, back offices and external partners
Achieve high reactivity vs markets shifts :
oFor short-term products
oOn long-term investment solutions
Establish framework to provide products to the front-offices, incl. steering unit that drives distribution at front level
The role :
The Product Manager will directly report to the Head of Product Development & Pricing as well as indirectly to the head of Agile Ops and the Core Banking System (CBS) program manager.
She / He will need to maintain tight links with internal clients (Retail Banking, Wealth Management, Corporate & Institutional Banking) and related transversal teams (Agile Ops, IT, TFM, Marketing, Legal, Compliance, ).
She / He has a broad overview of the product / service offers the bank has and could potentially develop, as well as a solid understanding of the main operational processes and IT tools (current and future) required for this product / service offer.
Particularly, the Product Manager will contribute to BIL’s transformation program and migration to the new Core Banking System, T24 (Temenos).
The prime objective of the role is to sharpen and simplify the offering in the context of the transformation program where commercially feasible.
The responsibilities :
In addition to the normal responsibilities as Product Manager, the Product Manager will cover the following responsibilities :
Coordinate interactions between Business (Client & Product perspective), Agile Ops (Process perspective) and CBS (IT perspective)
Centralize and ensure decision taking of all opportunities to improve (focus on simplification) BIL’s way of doing business (product and process)
Define and ensure adoption of product standards
Centralize and ensure close follow-up of all open points concerning business complexity regarding the new CBS (Temenos T24)
Plan and implement all CBS-related product or process decisions (e.g. customer communication, product migration, etc.)
Act as change agent to onboard the entire bank on all CBS-related product or process decisions
Facilitate adoption of T24 capabilities by the Products & Solutions teams
The profile :
The role requires the following qualifications :
Experienced professional with deep product knowledge in the Wealth Management,Corporate & Institutional Banking or Retail Banking sphere
Good communicator, at ease with handling different groups ofstakeholders
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build sustainablerelationships
Proven negotiation skills
Strong analytical skills
Extensive project and process management experience
Ability to work within a team but be pro-active and with strong self-motivation
Genuine passion for providing clients with first-class financialservices, yet complemented with solid understanding of the contribution to thebank’s bottom-line
Knowledge of T24 (Temenos) is a strong plus
Masters degree from a top university (Finance, Business Administration,Mathematical Sciences or equal)
Excellent command of English and French is a must, Luxemburgish orGerman are nice to have.
