Key Accountabilities

  • Manage a portfolio of research projects in different phases of project lifecycle
  • Prepare estimates and quotations for service work
  • Prepare project plans in collaboration with PIs
  • Review study protocols prepared by PIs
  • Set up projects (contract, admin, approvals, timelines, budget, etc)
  • Manage progress on project work, push projects firmly but diplomatically to get results
  • Track and report on deliverables / timelines, and costs vs. budget
  • Ensure effective information flow with internal and external partners
  • Advise on operational and administrative matters
  • Ensure efficient interaction with vendors and contractors

  • Min. Master’s degree in biology, medicine, pharmacy or similar
  • Min. 3 years relevant job-related experience ideally in project management in a relevant area (e.g. research, CRO, biotech, pharma )
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to drive projects forward focusing on the deliverables
  • Good negotiation skills
  • Attention to detail, clarity and accuracy
  • Teamwork skills
  • Project management skills
  • Good knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Language skills

  • Must be fluent in written and spoken English (working language at the IBBL)
  • Must be fluent in written and spoken French
  • Additional fluency in German would be a plus, but is not required

  • PRINCE2 or equivalent; MS Project
