Amazon World Wide Operations Talent Management Team is looking for a Sr. Program Manager to join our Pathways Program Team.

Pathways is designed to develop high potential graduates with MBA or Masters level education in engineering, supply chain, logistics, or similar disciplines into Amazon's next General Managers, Directors, and Vice Presidents.

Pathways participants are hired for their deep analytical skill set and develop leadership skills through a series of operational assignments specifically designed to challenge them.

These crucible experiences push the participant outside of their comfort zone, by putting them in roles where they have limited or no experience of prior success.

The Program Manager works collaboratively on the team to define the strategy of this Global Program and will drive execution and consistency across all countries worldwide.

They will also be responsible for moving the program into emerging businesses and supporting global mobility between countries.

Stakeholder Management experience is critical in this role and you will be influencing leaders across Customer Fulfillment, Transportation, Specialty Fulfillment, Talent Acquisition, Learning and Talent Management and Human Resources.

Successful candidates will be self-driven, have experience in large matrix organizations, be detail-oriented, and have excellent problem solving and analytical capabilities.

You will need strong business acumen, excellent communication and influencing skills, strategic thinking, and project management experience.

This includes a proven ability to cultivate strong partnerships, consult, and have the capability and confidence to interface effectively with senior leaders and influence multiple stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

  • B.A. degree in a relevant field such as business, human resources, organizational development, or similar fields, or equivalent business experience of 10-15 years.
  • Experience in people management, career development, performance modeling, and talent management in a fast-paced global environment.
  • Extensive experience in stakeholder management, including influencing executive level leaders.
  • Demonstrate strong business acumen, including problem solving skills, and critical thinking.
  • Demonstrated history of collaborating as part of a team and also working independently to deliver results with minimal supervision in a dynamic and often ambiguous environment
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills; a role model in this area.
  • Able to travel up to 25% globally.
  • MBA or Master’s degree in related discipline : Human Resources, Instructional Design, Organizational Psychology, Adult Education, etc.
  • Experience in a business environment with the practical application of leadership development, organization development, and HIPO talent management
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions, recommendations, and drive actions
  • Experience in assessing performance gaps, analyzing learning needs, and measuring and reporting on the effectiveness and impact of learning and talent programs
  • Experience in planning and managing large, cross-functional efforts
  • Experience in project and program management
  • Fulfillment or Distribution operational experience or knowledge
