We have established a European Amazon Robotics Deployment Engineering (ARDE) team that is responsible for delivering the most technologically advanced Amazon Robotics system solutions.

This role will be responsible leading a talented team of Program Managers and Engineers to strategically deliver ARDE project implementations and upgrades to the largest and highest performing Amazon FC's globally.

This person is responsible for working cross functionally with key Amazon stakeholders to deliver a collaborative and successful deployment program that covers all aspects of the project management lifecycle.

This is highly visible and strategic leadership position working for the World Wide Technology Deployment and Field Support (WWTDFS) organization.

We are looking for a Senior Manager with a strong delivery record and proven project portfolio management skills as well as successful track record of innovating on product improvements, business processes, driving network wide best practices and standards.

  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment with a proven track record for delivering results on large, cross functional, international milestone projects.
  • Able to lead cross-functional teams in a matrix organization consisting of Hardware and Software Engineering, Operations, Quality Assurance and Supply Chain to ensure successful technology deployments.
  • Manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously and effectively influence, negotiate, and communicate with internal and external business partners and vendors.
  • Interface and collaborate with Amazon partners to look for opportunities for process and resource optimization with a focus on efficiencies and cost reduction.
  • Proven ability to hire and develop high performing teams
  • Develop and maintain program plans and communicate status at a program level to Snr. leadership and Amazon executives.
  • Partner with cross functional teams to support planning and roll out of new product innovations.
  • Work with senior leadership to establish and manage new engagement models both domestically and internationally.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills both in software and hardware as well as prior success partnering with business and engineering teams.
  • Experience driving execution of vision and goals for the team.
  • May develop long-term strategies and influence leadership decisions.
  • Strong meeting management and negotiating skills.
  • At least 10 years of experience leading multiple mission critical technical projects simultaneously in a robotics engineering or other large scale technical implementation.
  • graduate degree in a technical or business related field.
  • Six Sigma Green or Black Belt equivalent certification.
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification.
  • Must be able to think creatively and possess strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Strong Executive and team-level communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Willingness to travel 50% of the year.
