What is the opportunity?
Reporting to the Solutions Architect Unix LDAP in Directory & IAM Solutions team, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and analysis support within Information Security Access Management.
This involves technical expertise, analysis and risk management best practices to ensure Unix LDAP tasks are complaint with established standards within the global environment.
You will handle security events, changes, incidents, requests and escalations.
Upgrade the Global UNIX LDAP infrastructure systems to new versions; and ensure appropriate application patches are applied on all systems, in compliance with Enterprise Security Standards.
Ensure that nightly application jobs run and application data is generated and collected whenever applicable.
Monitor, respond and remediate alerts as they come in from systems; take action on alerts to ensure optimal service levels are maintained..
Vendor : Work with the vendor to resolve any system issues; create tickets in the vendor ticketing system as needed
Make sure all UNIX LDAP infrastructure systems are configured according to enterprise security standards.
Maintain the LDAP TSS document and participate in its annual review process.
Establish and maintain strong collaborative relationships with internal and external service partners
Perform proactive security activities and deep technical analysis to increase safety and soundness of the operational environment.
Communicate and escalate significant items as required to management, senior leaders and service partners.
Skills & Requirements
Strong written, oral, and presentation skills.
Very strong analytical and complex problem-solving skills
Ability to discuss highly technical concepts to all audiences, ranging from non-technical to executive level technical decision makers.
In-depth knowledge of Oracle Directory Server Enterprise Edition or any related Directory Server; like OpenLDAP, RedHat Directory Server, FreeIPA, Tivoli Directory Server.
Extensive hands-on experience working on heterogeneous Linux / UNIX environments, preferably with RedHat Linux 6.x / 7.
x, AIX 7.x, and Solaris 10 / 11.
Working knowledge of Load Balancing Technologies. Working knowledge of F5 devices and LTM / GTM pools will be a strong asset.
Working knowledge of NAS Filers will be an asset.
Strong exposure to security hardware and software.
RHSA, SCSA, and AIX Certified System Administrator certifications are preferred. RHCE or RHCA-level certifications will be a strong asset.
5 to10 years of work experience and / or education in IT security or a related field
In-depth working knowledge of UNIX / Linux Networking (TCP / IP, routing, firewalls)
Extensive working knowledge of web and application servers (apache and tomcat preferred).
Extensive working knowledge of SSL-based communications. Working knowledge of SSL certificate management will be a strong asset.
In-depth working knowledge of the authentication process in UNIX and Linux.
Hands-on experience with SUDO or another escalation of privileges tool.
Strong knowledge of perl, bash, ksh or other scripting languages.
Working knowledge of IT Operations Administration and ITIL best practices.
Education : Bachelor’s Degree (B. A.) in Computer Science or Information Technology or equivalent from a four-year college or technical school;
5 to10 years’ experience as a system administrator / technical support representative; or equivalent combination of education and experience will be a strong asset.
