Job Purpose (Job Summary) :

The role will be responsible for and involved in the regulatory / corporate activities of the Company. The Regulatory Officer promotes the principles of sound compliance with applicable laws, regulations, standards and ethics in the conduct of its business.

Key Responsibilities / Duties :

  • Oversight of the delegated activities of the Management Company (AIFM)
  • Implement a procedure that will comply with the regulatory environment (AIFMD) and the Group policy
  • Ensure oversight function with the support of the functional teams
  • Review SLAs and incorporate amendments if / where appropriate. Implement and / or review existing KPIs to ensure quality of the services received
  • Take ownership of the preparation of the regulatory and corporate reporting, incl. accurate and on-time submission to regulators or corporate teams
  • Draft procedure to support the preparation of all reports
  • Act as a director on the Board of Luxembourg-domiciled holding or property companies
  • Prepare / review the calculation of the management fees for all Luxembourg-domiciled fund products to ensure compliance with legal documentation and internal fee policies
  • Take over responsibility for the global fee policy applicable to large investors for the European structures. Coordination with US and Asia teams.
  • Preparation of reports and supporting documentation for the Conducting Officers and Board meetings
  • Ensure on-time filing of financial statements and tax returns in Luxembourg and in those jurisdictions where the funds own subsidiaries
  • Maintain a compliance report showing the filing status on a quarterly basis
  • Reviews established policies, standards and procedures to assure congruence with all regulations and laws as well as business processes.
  • Responsible for FATCA and CRS for all European entities, incl. Group certification
  • Take ownership for the RFP process to appoint service providers, transfer agents or depository banks
  • Responsible to maintain the data collection point and ensure data are updated regularly
  • Act as main point of contact with the service providers in charge of the preparation of the financial statements
  • Qualifications

    Work Experience / Knowledge :

  • Proven knowledge of Luxembourg (and other European countries’) law
  • Strong, progressive, stable work history
  • A minimum of 8-10 years’ experience preferably gained within the private equity or real estate sector
  • Real Estate experience and knowledge, incl. regulated and unregulated vehicles
  • Solid legal and company secretarial background
  • Solid understanding of project management processes, documentation, audit and signoff authorities
  • Skills / Other Personal Attributes Required :

  • Able to analyze, organize, summarize and articulate complex legal and financial information
  • Ability to meet deadlines and adjust to changes in policies, procedures and priorities

  • Ability to collaborate across many teams
  • Overall Positive Attitude that will contribute to a better work environment for all members of the staff
  • Dynamic individual with very strong communication skills, both written (presentations / policies / process documents) and verbal.
  • Is a team player who is self-motivated and goal oriented
  • Ability to contribute to administrative activities as necessary and institute quality control procedures
  • Formal Education : (minimum requirement to perform job duties)

  • University degree Accounting, Legal or equivalent
  • Fluent in English - German or French would be seen as an asset
  • Exceptional computer skills in the operation and functioning of all programs used by the organization, i.e., Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
